Last Man Standing

Once again I would like to say that this following speech in not a denigration of Islam but information for non-Islamic people

HIS SPEECH CLEARLY SHOWS OUR SITUATION IN THE WORLD.....WELL WORTH READING!
Geert Wilders is a Member of the Dutch Parliament.

America as the last man standing
'In a generation or two, the US will ask itself: who lost Europe?'

Here is the speech of Geert Wilders, Chairman, Party for Freedom, the
Netherlands, at the Four Seasons, New York, introducing an Alliance of Patriots and announcing the Facing Jihad Conference in Jerusalem.

Dear friends,

Thank you very much for inviting me.

I come to
America with a mission. All is not well in the old world. There is a tremendous danger looming, and it is very difficult to be optimistic. We might be in the final stages of the Islamization of Europe. This not only is a clear and present danger to the future of Europeitself, it is a threat to America and the sheer survival of the West. The United States as the last bastion of Western civilization, facing an Islamic Europe.

First I will describe the situation on the ground in
Europe. Then, I will say a few things about Islam. To close I will tell you about a meeting in Jerusalem.

The
Europe you know is changing.

You have probably seen the landmarks. But in all of these cities, sometimes a few blocks away from your tourist destination, there is another world. It is the world of the parallel society created by Muslim mass-migration.

All throughout
Europe a new reality is rising: entire Muslim neighborhoods where very few indigenous people reside or are even seen. And if they are, they might regret it. This goes for the police as well. It's the world of head scarves, where women walk around in figureless tents, with baby strollers and a group of children. Their husbands, or slaveholders if you prefer, walk three steps ahead. With mosques on many street corners. The shops have signs you and I cannot read. You will be hard-pressed to find any economic activity. These are Muslim ghettos controlled by religious fanatics. These are Muslim neighborhoods, and they are mushrooming in every city across Europe. These are the building-blocks for territorial control of increasingly larger portions of Europe, street by street, neighborhood by neighborhood, city by city.

There are now thousands of mosques throughout
Europe. With larger congregations than there are in churches. And in every European city there are plans to build super-mosques that will dwarf every church in the region. Clearly, the signal is: we rule.

Many European cities are already one-quarter Muslim: just take
Amsterdam, Marseille andMalmo in Sweden. In many cities the majority of the under-18 population is Muslim. Paris is now surrounded by a ring of Muslim neighborhoods. Mohammed is the most popular name among boys in many cities.

In some elementary schools in
Amsterdam the farm can no longer be mentioned, because that would also mean mentioning the pig, and that would be an insult to Muslims.

Many state schools in
Belgium and Denmarkonly serve halal food to all pupils. In once-tolerant Amsterdam gays are beaten up almost exclusively by Muslims. Non-Muslim women routinely hear 'whore, whore'. Satellite dishes are not pointed to local TV stations, but to stations in the country of origin.

In
France school teachers are advised to avoid authors deemed offensive to Muslims, including Voltaire and Diderot; the same is increasingly true of Darwin. The history of the Holocaust can no longer be taught because of Muslim sensitivity.

In
England sharia courts are now officially part of the British legal system. Many neighborhoods in France are no-go areas for women without head scarves. Last week a man almost died after being beaten up by Muslims in Brussels, because he was drinking during the Ramadan.

Jews are fleeing France in record numbers, on the run for the worst wave of anti-Semitism since World War II. French is now commonly spoken on the streets of Tel Aviv and Netanya,
Israel. I could go on forever with stories like this. Stories about Islamization.

A total of fifty-four million Muslims now live in
Europe. San Diego University recently calculated that a staggering 25 percent of the population in Europe will be Muslim just 12 years from now. Bernhard Lewis has predicted a Muslim majority by the end of this century.

Now these are just numbers. And the numbers would not be threatening if the Muslim-immigrants had a strong desire to assimilate. But there are few signs of that. The
PewResearch Center reported that half of French Muslims see their loyalty to Islam as greater than their loyalty to France. One-third of French Muslims do not object to suicide attacks. The British Centre for Social Cohesion reported that one-third of British Muslim students are in favor of a worldwide caliphate. Muslims demand what they call 'respect'. And this is how we give them respect. We have Muslim official state holidays.

The Christian-Democratic attorney general is willing to accept sharia in the
Netherlands if there is a Muslim majority. We have cabinet members with passports from Morocco andTurkey.

Muslim demands are supported by unlawful behavior, ranging from petty crimes and random violence, for example against ambulance workers and bus drivers, to small-scale riots. Paris has seen its uprising in the low-income suburbs, the banlieus. I call the perpetrators 'settlers'. Because that is what they are. They do not come to integrate into our societies; they come to integrate our society into their Dar-al-Islam. Therefore, they are settlers.

Much of this street violence I mentioned is directed exclusively against non-Muslims, forcing many native people to leave their neighborhoods, their cities, their countries. Moreover, Muslims are now a swing vote not to be ignored.

The second thing you need to know is the importance of Mohammed the prophet. His behavior is an example to all Muslims and cannot be criticized. Now, if Mohammed had been a man of peace, let us say like Ghandi and Mother Theresa wrapped in one, there would be no problem. But Mohammed was a warlord, a mass murderer, a pedophile, and had several marriages - at the same time. Islamic tradition tells us how he fought in battles, how he had his enemies murdered and even had prisoners of war executed. Mohammed himself slaughtered the Jewish tribe of Banu Qurayza. If it is good for Islam, it is good. If it is bad for Islam, it is bad.

Let no one fool you about Islam being a religion. Sure, it has a god, and a here-after, and 72 virgins. But in its essence Islam is a political ideology. It is a system that lays down detailed rules for society and the life of every person. Islam wants to dictate every aspect of life. Islam means 'submission'. Islam is not compatible with freedom and democracy, because what it strives for is sharia. If you want to compare Islam to anything, compare it to communism or national-socialism, these are all totalitarian ideologies. ( COULD THIS BE THE U.S. PRESIDENTS MOTIVATION ).

Now you know why Winston Churchill called Islam 'the most retrograde force in the world', and why he compared Mein Kampf to the Quran. The public has wholeheartedly accepted the Palestinian narrative, and sees
Israel as the aggressor. I have lived in this country and visited it dozens of times. I support Israel. First, because it is the Jewish homeland after two thousand years of exile up to and including Auschwitz, second because it is a democracy, and third because Israel is our first line of defense.

This tiny country is situated on the fault line of jihad, frustrating Islam's territorial advance. Israel is facing the front lines of jihad, like Kashmir, Kosovo, the Philippines, Southern Thailand, Darfur in Sudan, Lebanon, and Aceh in
Indonesia. Israel is simply in the way. The same way West-Berlin was during the Cold War.

The war against
Israel is not a war againstIsrael. It is a war against the West. It is jihad. Israel is simply receiving the blows that are meant for all of us. If there would have been noIsrael, Islamic imperialism would have found other venues to release its energy and its desire for conquest. Thanks to Israeli parents who send their children to the army and lay awake at night, parents in Europe and America can sleep well and dream, unaware of the dangers looming.

Many in
Europe argue in favor of abandoningIsrael in order to address the grievances of our Muslim minorities. But if Israel were, God forbid, to go down, it would not bring any solace to the West It would not mean our Muslim minorities would all of a sudden change their behavior, and accept our values. On the contrary, the end of Israel would give enormous encouragement to the forces of Islam. They would, and rightly so, see the demise of Israelas proof that the West is weak, and doomed. The end of Israel would not mean the end of our problems with Islam, but only the beginning. It would mean the start of the final battle for world domination. If they can getIsrael, they can get everything. So-called journalists volunteer to label any and all critics of Islamization as a 'right-wing extremists' or 'racists'. In my country, the Netherlands, 60 percent of the population now sees the mass immigration of Muslims as the number one policy mistake since World War II. And another 60 percent sees Islam as the biggest threat. Yet there is a danger greater danger than terrorist attacks, the scenario of America as the last man standing. The lights may go out inEurope faster than you can imagine. An IslamicEurope means a Europe without freedom and democracy, an economic wasteland, an intellectual nightmare, and a loss of military might for America - as its allies will turn into enemies, enemies with atomic bombs. With an Islamic Europe, it would be up to America alone to preserve the heritage of Rome, Athens andJerusalem.

Dear friends, liberty is the most precious of gifts. My generation never had to fight for this freedom, it was offered to us on a silver platter, by people who fought for it with their lives. All throughout
Europe, American cemeteries remind us of the young boys who never made it home, and whose memory we cherish. My generation does not own this freedom; we are merely its custodians. We can only hand over this hard won liberty to Europe's children in the same state in which it was offered to us. We cannot strike a deal with mullahs and imams. Future generations would never forgive us. We cannot squander our liberties. We simply do not have the right to do so.
We have to take the necessary action now to stop Islam from destroying the free world that we know.

Something to Think About!

This is not presented as hate mongering against the Muslims but to inform Non-Muslims.

EYE-OPENING!Joys of Muslim Women
by Nonie Darwish

In the Muslim faith a Muslim man can marry a child as young as 1 year old and have sexual intimacy with this child. Consummating the marriage by 9.
The dowry is given to the family in exchange for the woman (who becomes his slave) and for the purchase of the private parts of the woman, to use her as a toy. Even though a woman is abused she can not obtain a divorce.
To prove rape, the woman must have (4) male witnesses.
Often after a woman has been raped, she is returned to her family and the family must return the dowry. The family has the right to execute her (an honor killing) to restore the honor of the family. Husbands can beat their wives 'at will' and he does not have to say why he has beaten her.
The husband is permitted to have (4 wives) and a temporary wife for an hour (prostitute) at his discretion.
The Shariah Muslim law controls the private as well as the public life of the woman.
In the West World ( America ) Muslim men are starting to demand Shariah Law so the wife can not obtain a divorce and he can have full and complete control of her. It is amazing and alarming how many of our sisters and daughters attending American Universities are now marrying Muslim men and submitting themselves and their children unsuspectingly to the Shariah law.
By passing this on, enlightened American women may avoid becoming a slave under Shariah Law.

Ripping the West in Two.

Author and lecturer Nonie Darwish says the goal of radical Islamists is to impose Shariah law on the world, ripping Western law and liberty in two.
She recently authored the book, Cruel and Usual Punishment: The Terrifying Global Implications of Islamic Law.
Darwish was born in Cairo and spent her childhood in Egypt and Gaza before immigrating to America in 1978, when she was eight years old. Her father died while leading covert attacks on Israel . He was a high-ranking Egyptian military officer stationed with his family in Gaza .
When he died, he was considered a "shahid," a martyr for jihad. His posthumous status earned Nonie and her family an elevated position in Muslim society.
But Darwish developed a skeptical eye at an early age. She questioned her own Muslim culture and upbringing. She converted to Christianity after hearing a Christian preacher on television.
In her latest book, Darwish warns about creeping sharia law - what it is, what it means, and how it is manifested in Islamic countries.
For the West, she says radical Islamists are working to impose sharia on the world. If that happens, Western civilization will be destroyed.
Westerners generally assume all religions encourage a respect for the dignity of each individual. Islamic law (Sharia) teaches that non-Muslims should be subjugated or killed in this world.
Peace and prosperity for one's children is not as important as assuring that Islamic law rules everywhere in the Middle East and eventually in the world.
While Westerners tend to think that all religions encourage some form of the golden rule, Sharia teaches two systems of ethics - one for Muslims and another for non-Muslims. Building on tribal practices of the seventh century, Sharia encourages the side of humanity that wants to take from and subjugate others.
While Westerners tend to think in terms of religious people developing a personal understanding of and relationship with God, Sharia advocates executing people who ask difficult questions that could be interpreted as criticism.
It's hard to imagine, that in this day and age, Islamic scholars agree that those who criticize Islam or choose to stop being Muslim should be executed. Sadly, while talk of an Islamic reformation is common and even assumed by many in the West, such murmurings in the Middle East are silenced through intimidation.
While Westerners are accustomed to an increase in religious tolerance over time, Darwish explains how petro dollars are being used to grow an extremely intolerant form of political Islam in her native Egypt and elsewhere.

In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. to elect the President by themselves.

Philippine Aid

A short while ago the Philippines, in particular the northern island of Luzon suffered devastating storms that caused massive flooding, loss of property and loss of life. Emergency measures kept the disaster to a minimum providing emergency shelter, food and clothing. Many people lost their home and possessions. They are now rebuilding out of the rubble of their destroyed lives.

It is at this time that we tend to turn our focus to other areas, however now is the time to send as much help as possible. Now is the rebuilding phase of the disaster.

My friend Pastor Bernie Mendoza in Manila will help get the funds into needy hands. He himself needs help as well as his congregation and neighborhood.

It is my goal to raise $10,000.00 by Nov 30, 2009. I need your help to help them.

To learn more and have the opportunity to give please follow this link: http://www.advancedtacticalpaintball.com/product.asp?specific=464

If we all give a little then we can give a lot.

It would be appreciated if you passed this on to your network so we can all work together to help people rebuild their lives.

Thank you and have a blessed day.

Philippines Flooding Oct. '09 - Help Needed

I have made 5 missionary journeys to the Philippines. During this time I became friends with a number of Pastors there. In particular Pastor and Mrs. Mendosa, who live in Manila.
They and their congregation lost much of their possessions in the flood. They said that the water was waste deep in their home.
This is what they emailed me:
"we experienced the typhoon last Sept 26 upto now, a typhoon named Undoy, our house was filled with flood waters upto our waist. many of our belongings was destroyed, tables, chairs, refrigerator, etc. and also our jeepney (a jeep like vehicle) was filled water upto half of its windshield so all the parts of the engine and the engine itself was wreck by the flood. Upto this present time we are cleaning our house and we dont know if still there will be enough things that can be useful to our needs. "
I assume that the people of the congregation are in the same plight, if not worse. Also they are in a position to help their neighborhood and people on other islands.
Right now they are in need of financial support. I trust Pastor & Mrs. Mendosa to administer any funds that they get.
In the light of the Indonesian earthquakes, the plight of the Philippine people seems to diminish. However my heart and passion are towards them that is why I am asking for your help. I will be giving and I am asking you to join me.
I am asking for response. If you wish to help, I will set up a method to do so however I will need to hear from you. You can reach me on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/people/William-Campsall/1024673750.
I am not a very eloquent person but my passion for this is high.
Below are some articles that I found.
May you be blessed always.

Whosoever Will

The Dog Days of August are upon us. Those hot and humid days that are vital to the crops so they are able to make their final growth spurt before harvest time. You could liken it unto the End Times. The time(s) before the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
I have a sincere belief that we are in the End Times, those Dog Days before the Harvest. It is a time of growth both personal, spiritual and in numbers of people added to the Church.
I am not a fan of Revelation, not because it is a gloomy book or not worthy of my attention but because it has been used to frighten and enslave espoused Christians. It has been so wrongly interpreted that it's true meaning has been clouded.
People have used it as a springboard for apocalyptic rhetoric to prove an exact time of the Coming of Christ. Also there are so many theories about the End Times etc. that mass confusion reigns. It is this confusion that Jesus allows that keeps us from knowing His exact plans. Clouded if you will, as a thief in the night. Jesus does not want us to know. We are to be perpetually prepared for His coming .

KJV 2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Now that verse is a bit gloomy. It has been used to scare people into "becoming" Christian. This is one of those scriptures that has been used to instill "fear" in people to keep them in line, so to speak.
I have used this tactic when I Pastored. In my defense I would like to say that is all I knew at the time. This is what I was taught and thought I truly believed. For this I am truly sorry and retentive. (Repentance evolves not only a mental assent but an action portion of turning from what you have repented of and doing it no more.)
Keeping people in fear is not the way to serve Jesus.
Unfortunetely there is always an element of fear in Christianity: the fear of being "lost". No matter how much love one preaches, this message of being "lost" as a Christian always come through.
So many people serve Jesus out of fear. In actuality they are serving Him with there mind, not with their heart and whole being. They are not serving Jesus freely out of their own free will.

KJV Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

This is what Strong's Concordance says about "whosoever will", "life" and "freely"

2309 whosever will: 1) to will, have in mind, intend 1a) to be resolved or determined, to purpose 1b) to desire, to wish 1c) to love 1c1) to like to do a thing, be fond of doing 1d) to take delight in, have pleasure
2222 life: 1) life 1a) the state of one who is possessed of vitality or is animate 1b) every living soul 2) life 2a) of the absolute fullness of life, both essential and ethical, which belongs to God, and through him both to the hypostatic "logos" and to Christ in whom the "logos" put on human nature 2b) life real and genuine, a life active and vigorous, devoted to God, blessed, in the portion even in this world of those who put their trust in Christ, but after the resurrection to be consummated by new accessions (among them a more perfect body), and to last for ever.
1432 freely: 1) freely, undeservedly

It is serving Jesus with our "free will" that Jesus wants. That is one of the reasons that He created us; to have a people who will freely serve Him.
This reminds me of the "love slave" of the Old Testament:

KJV Exodus 21:1 Now these are the judgments which thou shalt set before them.
2 If thou buy an Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing.
3 If he came in by himself, he shall go out by himself: if he were married, then his wife shall go out with him.
4 If his master have given him a wife, and she have born him sons or daughters; the wife and her children shall be her master's, and he shall go out by himself.
5 And if the servant shall plainly say, I love my master, my wife, and my children; I will not go out free:
6 Then his master shall bring him unto the judges; he shall also bring him to the door, or unto the door post; and his master shall bore his ear through
with an aul; and he shall serve him for ever.

The servants choice to serve his master was given freely. He weighed out the pros and cons and then made his decision. He was in no way coerced because he was already free to go and do what he desired. It was the servants free choice to serve his master perpetually.
The key here is "free choice". This is a choice one makes because of love not due to fear. So it should be with us as Christians.

KJV 1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth (to do something for fear of harm i.e. being lost) is not made perfect in love.

If we take a look at Rev. 22:17 again we will find that Jesus is offering us a life devoted to Him undeservedly. It is up to us to resolve, determine or purpose to serve Him.
Furthermore we are to take pleasure in or have pleasure in serving Jesus. To do so through fear is not pleasure but a duty and duty is a coercive thing. Something that we do because of social pressure not because it thrills our soul, lifts our spirit or allows us to serve Jesus in a most intimate way.
What comes to mind is: Live free or die.
Personally I want to live free. Free to serve Jesus in an intimate, satisfying way.
Spiritual freedom is a gift from Jesus. When He breathed into the nostrils of the first man He gave him the gift of freedom. It is all about free, personal choice.

KJV Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

May you be blessed with the strength to serve Jesus freely and without reservation.

Wind in the Face

KJV John 3:
8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound hereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.

Do I like to ride? There is a certain freedom about mounting the saddle of a motorcycle. Many say it is the modern day horse. Many times the westerner would put foot in stirrup and just go for a wander.
"Where are you going friend?"
With a wave of the hand, "That way!"
It is all right as a Christian to just go that way. We do not always have to have our lives planned out. We do not always have to have a purpose in a journey other than taking the journey. Sometimes it is so satisfying to just wander towards a destination.
Just being with Jesus. No particular objective in mind, just being with Him. Being with Jesus does not always have to involve speech. You do not always have to have a running dialogue with Jesus. What is important is "being with" Jesus.
"Being with" just means that you are in the moment giving attention to that moment or more specifically, giving your full attention to the person you are with. So when you are "being with" Jesus you give your full attention to Him by "being in the Spirit".
"Being in the Spirit" is nothing mystical or hard to do. Jesus gave us a hint:

KJV John 7:
38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

"Being in the Spirit" is simply a connection with Jesus by allowing your mind to be focused on your spiritual center of your body, your belly. An area just below your navel. Try allowing your conscious mind to focus on the spiritual center. It is quite a peaceful, fulfilling sensation.
This would be the primary way of "being with" Jesus. It does not mean that you block everything else out, it means that you become engrossed in Jesus while going about your every day life, fully aware of what you are doing yet "in" Jesus.
It is kind of like praying without ceasing:

1Th 5:
17 Pray without ceasing.
18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
19 Quench not the Spirit.

When I ride I have more than the physical wind in my face, I have Jesus with me in a very real, tangible way.
Today and every day may you be blessed with the presence of Jesus. May you become immersed in "being with" Jesus.
Love and blessings to all.

How Do You Respond to Adversity?

Found this in the latest Bob Harrison Newsletter. This is an incredible true story.

A LONG RIDE TO HARVARD UNIVERSITY

A Los Angeles teenager was one of the most unlikely people to be selected to attend Harvard University, let alone be awarded a “Full-Ride Scholarship.”

Donald Trump once made the following statement:

“The # 1 key to being a successful business person is how you respond to adversity.”

If that statement is correct, then Khadijah Williams has great success ahead of her. A front page article in the Los Angeles Times describes her journey to Harvard University.

As long as she can remember, Khadijah has floated from shelters to motels to armories. In 12 years time she has attended 12 schools while living out of garbage bags among pimps and drug dealers.

When shelters closed or money ran out, she and her mother would pack what little they had and board buses to find housing elsewhere. Khadijah had to learn how to hunt for her next meal, find the nearest bus routes and determine what was a secure place to sleep.

When she was in her junior year of high school, she had to commute by buses from an Orange County armory to school in Los Angeles. She awoke at 4:00 a.m. and returned at 11:00 p.m. Yet in spite of all the challenges, she was able to keep her grade-point average just below a 4.0 (straight A's).

Her secret? At every stop, she pushed herself in each school's gifted student program. She was diligent in her studies, plus she read four to five books a month. In addition, she reached out for assistance to organizations and mentors.

Her reward? A full scholarship to Harvard University.

There is no promise that life is going to be absent of adversity and challenges. However, our response to these negative seasons will determine whether we will fade off into the memories of a distant past or continue to live a life of meaning and impact.

Light At The End Of The Tunnel

Here I sit scratching my head and wondering how one would address a veritable plague among Christians, that being depression.
In my years as a Christian I have suffered very deep bouts of depression. The worst that I remember is in Nov. of 1983. I was a brand new Christian. Shortly after I was Born Again, I went into a deep dark hole of depression. Every day seemed as if there was a spiritual night surrounding me. Everything was dark. I remember sighing a lot and just happy that the day was over and I could retreat into sleep. It was horrid! I felt so alone and helpless. I figured no one would understand and be able to help me and I was right.
Fortunately for me I snapped out of it in less than 2 weeks.
We like to blame the devil for more things than it (remember that satan is only an angel and an angel has no gender) is responsible for. Saying that it is the devil and that you can pray him away has no meaning to a person that is deep in the pit of depression. That person can hardly breath let alone think of how to get out of where he is at. That person will look at you, sigh and walk away. This scripture will help to explain what I mean:

James 2:
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the
body; what doth it profit?

It might seem a bit harsh nevertheless that is how a depressed person would feel. I know because I have been there. It is like giving a drowning man a heavy stone to hold.
Do any of these dictionary explanations resonate with you?

Psychology A psychiatric disorder characterized by an inability to concentrate, insomnia, loss of appetite, anhedonia, feelings of extreme sadness, guilt, helplessness and hopelessness, and thoughts of death. Also called clinical depression.

Psychiatry. a condition of general emotional dejection and withdrawal; sadness greater and more prolonged than that warranted by any objective reason.

Clinical Depression

–noun

Psychiatry. a depression so severe as to be considered abnormal, either because of no obvious environmental causes, or because the reaction to unfortunate life circumstances is more intense or prolonged than would generally be expected.

Many people in Christian ranks hide their depression because they think it is shameful not to be a perfectly happy Christian all the time. Their smile is on the face while the tears are in the eyes ready to flow.

Let me give you all hope IT IS OK TO BE HUMAN!!

Part of our humanity is occasional bouts with depression whether they are caused spiritually or otherwise. Jesus made us the way we are: human. We are not an angel or are we Jesus.

Psalm 8:
4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

We know that this is talking about Jesus. Jesus took on human form for a brief time here on Earth and by doing so took on all the attributes of His creation, man. He knows what we are or will be going through. He know about depression. That is why He has given us other people to lean on and help us through.
Let me proclaim that it is OK to feel depressed and lean on others. Now here is the qualifier; as long as you do not use it to draw others into your emotional state or use it to gain attention. Harsh?? Well we as humans can use depression as a tool to satisfy our deepest needs of love and acceptance. In that case there is no desire to get out of depression only to stay in it to satisfy OUR desires.
Having said that let is be said that we spend so much time focusing on the problems (sin, world, flesh) that we lose our focus of making it to heaven by just being a Christian.

KJV Luke 10:
41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:

Martha focused upon the problems while Mary focused upon the solution or the object of the quest: Jesus and being a great Christian.
The "Parable of the Sower" is the same thing, focusing upon the wrong thing.
I was given this quote a while ago; "What you focus upon expands." That is exactly what we do when we are depressed, focus on the wrong thing ... us.
Let me say this, when you are in the depths of depression that quote has absolutely no meaning let alone relevance because you are unable to focus on anything else other than your depression. That quote will help you keep away from depression once you are back on your feet again.
Let me say again, it is permissible to be human and look how you feel, for a while.
What did David do?

KJV 1 Samuel 30:
6 And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.

He encouraged himself in the Lord BEFORE he slipped too fare into depression. It is a temptation to just want top slip into those familiar dark depths, isn't it? Yes slipping into the old ways is a temptation.

KJV 1 Corinthians 10:
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

KJV James 1:
12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

KJV 2 Thessalonians 3:
3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.

Please be encouraged. The thing with depression is to always keep on top of it by focusing on positive things. Yes bad things happen to good people however we are able to choose how we wish to respond to situations in our lives. Yes there will be times when we slip into depression yet our time there will be greatly shortened.
The dark tunnel of depression ALWAYS has an end. Jesus is the light at the end of the tunnel and the light in the tunnel.

KJV John 8:
12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

KJV John 12:
46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

Until I became stronger in the Lord Jesus, I was unable to help myself, I couldn't even pray my way out of the darkness. That is when I turned to understanding and discreet Christian friends to pray for me. It was their prayers that help me out because I was helpless to do anything.
Do not be discouraged if you become depressed there is a way out; Christian friends and the guiding light of Jesus. Once you are out of the dark tunnel you can encourage yourself in the Lord Jesus and face anther day with a truly happy spirit.
May the light of Jesus always guide you. May you moment-by-moment encourage yourself in the Lord. Be blessed and happy.

Eagle's Wings

It is upon Eagle's wings that we soar into the heaven.

KJV Exodus 19:4 Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.

We are in an era of great change; change that will bring about a shakeup in our own personal worlds. Be not dismayed because Jesus is orchestrating this change. He will not leave you comfortless: KJV John 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless (bereft of a teacher, guide, guardian, orphaned): I will come to you.
Jesus said that He would bare you unto Himself and no other.
Many times we think of theses Eagle's wings taking us away from the troubles of this world so we will find peace away from the responsibilities that we have here.

KJV Psalm 107:29 He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.

Jesus said that He would calm the storm not take us out of the boat of this life. It is this calm in Him that will help us through the coming change. A change that will refine all those that profess that Jesus is Lord.
Be strengthened in Jesus.
Blessings to all.

Apple of His Eye

Another Sunday morning. I was sitting on my porch at about 7:00 this morning, as I am making a habit of doing lately, just feeling the town I live in come awake. The song "Easy Like Sunday Morning" came to mind. Went to YouTube and listened to it. Right now the title says it all.
Sunday mornings can be very peaceful. People are not rushing to get to work, factories are not in full swing and the traffic on the main road is at a minimum.
Today the sun was raising hot and the wind was still. Peaceful Like Sunday Morning. What a blessing it is to sit and experience this.
I feel that time is never wasted watching the grass grow. Just being in the moment with Jesus is a wonderful thing. Just relaxing. Mind clear of the things of the day, troubles or the stuff I have to do. Just being.
Just being with Jesus is a wonderfully peaceful thing. Time is never wasted when Jesus is the center of it; the moment that is. We do not have the past or the future we only have the now, the moment, the heartbeat, the twinkle of the eye; that is all we have to live in. Yes we have eternity with Jesus to look forward to; we are not there yet, that is coming. We have our past experiences that can shape our now. We can have a dream which is a future reality that has not happened yet. Where we really live is in the moment.
For me the hardest thing is to fill that moment with the positive and even harder is allowing Jesus to be there filling the moment.
That got me to thinking about this verse of scripture:

KJV Zechariah 2:
8 For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.

We as believers are the "apple of his eye". The Phrase Finder says this:
"Originally meaning the central aperture of the eye. Figuratively it is something, or more usually someone, cherished above others."
I am the apple of Jesus's eye. I, as a believer and one of His own, am cherished above all others. Opps! That sounds that I and I alone am cherished to the exclusion of all others. We know that the Body as a whole, a part of which you and I are, is cherished.
However I would like to take this to a totally personal level.
No one else can experience Jesus like I do. No one else has the relationship with Jesus that I do. How can they? We are all unigue, one of a kind in this world, created this way by Jesus. That is why I can say that I am cherished above all others because there is not another me.
Just think of it: you are indavidually created by Jesus and therefore you have a unique, exclusive relationship with Jesus. He interacts with you in a way that He interacts with no one else. Unique and exclusive.
Does that make me better than others? Why should it because Jesus acts with others in a way that is exclusive to them. They are the apple of his eye also.
The following scripture I believe expresses this best:

KJV Luke 12:
6 Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?

We are never forgotten of God. We are the apple of His eye, cherished and beloved.

KJV Psalm 46:
10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

Being still before God, knowing that He cherishes you will bring great strength and calm.
May Jesus find you today in the quiet reaches of your being and bring you great joy and comfort.

The Greatest Threat to Christianity or the EndTime Religion

EYE-OPENING!

Joys of Muslim Women
by Nonie Darwish

Darwish was born in Cairo and spent her childhood in Egypt and Gaza before
immigrating to America in 1978, when she was eight years old.

While Westerners are accustomed to an increase in religious tolerance over time, Darwish explains how petro dollars are being used to grow an extremely intolerant form of political Islam in her native Egypt
and elsewhere.

In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. to elect the President by themselves.

This is the link to Amazon's offering of the author's five-star-rated book. The thoughful reviews are worth reviewing...

This is not presented as hate mongering against the Muslims but to inform Non-Muslims.
